She earned her Ph.D. in Business from Drexel University in 1987. Dr. Benzing has written extensively on inflation, merger activity in the U.S., the teaching of economics, and international finance. She has been published in the Review of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economic Education, Eastern Economic Journal, Atlantic Economic Journal, Pennsylvania Economic Review, and New York Economic Review.
